250g ofnatural european organic almonds
160g of 70% organic and fair trade dark chocolate
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp chili powder

Lait d'amande

250g ofnatural european organic almonds
2 cups of water
2 tbsp pure maple syrup
pinch of salt

Preparation

Chocolate mix

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the almonds there and roast them for 20 minutes so that they release their oil.
  2. Place the almonds in a food processor and grind them into a coarse paste.
  3. Add 160 g of 70% dark chocolate to the food processor.
  4. Mix the chocolate into the marzipan until smooth.
  5. Add cinnamon and chili powder to taste and toss to incorporate.
  6. Blend the mixture a little longer until it becomes smooth and shiny. The preparation of the chocolate is now complete.

Lait d'amande

  1. The day before the chocolate preparation, soak the almonds in water overnight.
  2. The next morning, throw in the water and replace it with fresh one and mix the almonds and the water in a food processor.
  3. Filter in a milk bag or a fine sieve over a mason jar or other container. Mix with the salt and maple syrup. You can also add vanilla to it for even more flavor. Save the almond pulp for another recipe.
  4. In a saucepan, heat the almond milk and once hot, add the hot chocolate mixture.
  5. Add as much hot chocolate mixture as you like.
  6. To make a very rich and delicious hot chocolate, I mix in equal proportions. Use a stand mixer to mix well and get an ultra creamy consistency!
  7. You can garnish your hot chocolate cup with a few toasted coconut shavings and a pinch of ground cinnamon.
  8. Enjoy hot, eyes closed with a blissful smile!
